GENERAL

Karpaz Gate Marina, as indicated by its name, is located at the Karpaz peninsula in North Cyprus, also known as the ‘Pan-handle’ of Cyprus Island.

Cyprus Island is known to have 300 sunny days a year so you can enjoy year-round visits depending on your personal interests and preferences. Family vacations usually take place in the hotter months of July and August. March to June and September to October are also warm and the beautiful beaches can still be enjoyed throughout these periods.
November to February are cooler and more suitable for mountain trips, cultural trips to experience the local history and archaeology, or indoor pursuits such as culinary experiences or hamam and spa vacations.

If you arrive by flight, we will be pleased to assist you with your transfer to the hotel. Our transfers rates include assistance at the check point that you will pass between the south and north part of the Island.
You can also rent a car at the airport and drive independently. At the check point you will be able to obtain additional insurance coverage for your stay in North Cyprus.

The closest airport is Ercan, in the North of the Island – 95 km, flights arrive here mainly via Turkey’s international airports.
Larnaca International Airport, in the South of the Island – 120 km.

A complimentary shuttle bus service is available for our guests to travel to the nearby village of Yeni Erenkoy.
Transfers to other destinations: the cities of Famagusta, Nicosia and Kyrenia as well as the nearby touristic areas of Iskele and Bafra or other points of interest in the Karpaz peninsula or the mountain range, can be pre-booked, with or without an English speaking guide.

There are 9 crossing borders from South to North and from North to South Cyprus.
Delays in passing are usually only at local rush hours and weekends.

  • Lokmacı Border located in Nicosia, pedestrian only crossing.
  • Ledra Street Border is located in Nicosia, pedestrian only crossing.
  • Kato Pyrgos Border is located in Yesilirmak, crossing is possible by car and foot.
  • Lefka Border is located in Lefke, crossing is possible by car and foot.
  • Astromeritis Border is located in Bostanci/Guzelyurt, crossing is possible by car and foot.
  • Agios Dometios Border is located in Metehan/Nicosia, crossing is possible by car and foot.
  • Pyla Border is located in Beyarmudu (controlled by British Army SBA), crossing is possible by car and foot.
  • Agios Nikolaos Border is located in Famagusta (controlled by British Army SBA), crossing is possible by car and foot.
  • Dherynia Border is located in Famagusta, crossing is possible by car and foot.

Most third country nationals may be granted a visa up to 90 days (depending on the purpose of visit) at the designated ports and border crossings, if they can prove that they will leave the country within the specified period and they fulfil other conditions stipulated in this Regulation. The length of stay granted at the designated ports and border crossings of the North Cyprus cannot exceed 90 days within a period of 180 days.
Note that passports and are not stamped when entering North Cyprus.

Citizens of the Republic of Armenia, the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the Arab Republic of Syria are required to obtain a visa from the TR North Cyprus NC Representative Offices abroad by declaring the purpose of their visit to North Cyprus.

Foreigners who will stay in North Cyprus for more than the period allowed by the visa or for more than 90 days are required to obtain a residence permit, unless they are otherwise legally permitted.

Foreigners who want to stay in North Cyprus for more than 90 days are issued a residence permit if they apply and meet the conditions required for the relevant residence permit type.

Citizens of countries that do not have an embassy, consulate or representative office in the North Cyprus and citizens of countries other than the European Union can be granted a visa upon entry, provided that they enter with a passport valid for at least six months, the visa will be stamped on a separate visa document and not on the passport.
Citizens of countries with an embassy, consulate or representative office in North Cyprus and citizens of European Union countries can be granted a visa upon entry, provided that they enter with a passport valid for at least two months.

The Hemingway’s Resto-Bar is open daily from 7am until late.
It is situated on the promenade at Karpaz Gate Marina. The all-day restaurant and bar offers a seasonal menu, serving international and traditional Cypriot cuisine.
Optional dishes for vegetarians and vegan can be offered.
The Beach Club Restaurant is open April – October, daily, from 08:00 till after sunset.

The Beach Club and the outdoor pool are open daily, April 1st till October 31st from 08:00 till after sunset. We do have special evenings when we keep the Beach Club open during the evening for a party, concert or special dinner events.

The Fitness, Indoor Pool, Jacuzzi, Hamam and Spa are all within the resort and with walking distance from the pontoons. Usage of all facilities are free of charge for marina clients; however, spa and Hamam usage needs to be booked in advance.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort.

Our Concierge Services are available 24/7 and include:
Airport transfers, shuttles and additional transfers as per request

Reservations of restaurants, tours, activities, private boat tour, taxi boat
Assistance with booking flights
Assistance with purchasing special items and gifts

MARINA

Our marina capacity is 300 berths.

Vessels sizes are: from 4m to 55m, Berth depths from 3.5m to 6m

Yes you can, EU Citizens can use any land border, the closest being Derinya check point located 60km from the Marina and non-EU citizens can only use Derinya or Metehan (Kermiya) check point.

After exiting the territorial water of the Island of Cyprus, you can visit any other country in the region.

Yes, your valid boat insurance for the East Mediterranean region will cover you while in the TRNC.

We are not charging any service fee for our monthly and annual berth holders.  

For daily and weekly berth holders we charge a service fee for processing the official arrival check-in procedures and for processing the official departures check-out procedures.
Each of the service fees are €70 per vessel.

Yes, immigration procedures should be carried out in North Cyprus as well.

Yes, spare parts can be imported from any country around the world. Also, if the boat is a foreign flag boat, Duty Free Procedures can apply which would cost approximately EUR 500 (subject to change according to local taxes) regardless of the cost of the spare parts. One should note all documents should be prepared against the name of the boat.

Environmental sensitivity and an emphasis on sustainability are at the heart of all our operations.
In our on-site nursery, the vegetable and herb garden provide fresh produce straight to your plate alongside our own home-made bread and fresh locally-sourced dairy, fish and meat.
To encourage green energy, we invested in our own solar plant which supplies over half of our total electricity usage.
In addition, our ecological and recycling initiatives include minimal usage of non-recycled materials like plastics.
Creating our own Karpaz aquarium in the marina basin, a no fishing rule is in place to protect the wildlife and preserve the crystal-clear water.
No motor sports activities are allowed at our Beach Club.

ANNA TYC

Anna Tyc offers intensive vinyasa practice with chanting mantra pranayama meditation and hands on assist.

She is 800h. certified Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher with 300h. of mentorships, which she completed in India and Germany.

For Anna yoga is a spiritual and energetical practice, a journey to selfdiscovery and she aims to share her passion to yoga life style, and make yoga accessible to everyone.

Anna Tyc was born in Warsaw Poland and raised in Berlin Germany, where

she started her journey as a yoga student and teacher.
She is co-founder of High On Yoga Berlin studio, where she is still sharing her practice with Berlin community.
In 2018 Anna relocated to Tel Aviv, Israel where she continues her path as a yoga teacher and student.

THE ART OF MAT©

Practicing the work of mat is a challenging combination between the movement of Dance, the depth and power of Yoga and the wisdom of the Pilates.

After many years of teaching a diverse range of methods and exploring the world of body and movement, Reut Brandes is revealing a new and expanded repertoire of the body movement.

The Art of mat © introduces us to the tools that will help us understand the complex meaning of the movement, focusing on specific details which allow us to control and improve our abilities.

The goal is to internalize and combine physical sensations that lead to implement the body and soul wisdom.


Reut Brandes is a mat and equipment pilates and Yoga instructor. Graduated with a bachelor’s degree (Hons BA) in dance and movement from the London Contemporary Dance school. Studied and trained with first class teachers in Europe: Alan Herdman studio, Pilates Off the Square, Belsize Studio.

She has extensive experience working with different populations and in recent years has been guiding rehabilitation and movement teams in New York.
